List of Possible Plant-Based Courses

Today, we have higher rates of obesity, cancer, Alzheimer’s, type 2 diabetes, and chronic illness than any other population that’s ever lived on this planet. (It is that bad.) Because of the health crisis, we are in American; it seems paramount that we all consider making changes in our diet and lifestyle. Because of this health crisis, the groups of courses that I plan to develop and teach, are Plant-Based Diet and Lifestyle.

I am a retired University Associate Professor from Florida and have over 40 years of teaching experience. I spent the last ten years or so of my teaching career teaching online and retired in 2006. Since that time, I have been studying health issues and learning how food affects the way we live. My research started primarily as my health and diet was not as good as it should have been. This research changed my whole life and my lifestyle. Today I follow a whole food, plant-based lifestyle and am interested in helping others who want to get healthy by following a plant-based lifestyle.

Course 1 - Why a Plant-Based Diet and Lifestyle

Eating a plant-based diet will help you overcome many illnesses, lose weight, and make you feel great. You’ll also be helping the environment due to eating fewer water greedy animal products and use less packaging due to eating fewer processed foods. Eating this way can be easy too. But, there is a lot of confusion due to the different types of plant-based diets, and different “gurus” who proclaim to know what’s best.

The course would help in this transition to a plant-based lifestyle with the result being able to achieve optimal health.

Course 2 - What are Essential Nutrients

Would you be interested in an online plant-based course which would focus on Nutrients and how Essential Nutrients must be implemented into your everyday life to achieve optimal health?

The dictionary definition of “nutrient” is something that provides nourishment. In the field of nutrition and diet, nutrients are more specific. There are six specific categories of Essential Nutrients, all of which are necessary to sustain life, that is why we call them essential nutrients. These are carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, water and sometimes fiber. I am including fiber as one of the essential nutrients which makes seven.

Course 3 - What is Good Nutrition

Would you be interested in an online plant-based course which would focus on Good Nutrition and how to implement good nutrition into their everyday life?

Good nutrition means getting the right amount of nutrients from healthy foods in the right combinations to the body. Having nutritional knowledge and making smart choices about the foods you eat can and will help you achieve optimum health over your lifetime, and be a key to avoiding obesity, poor immunity, cardiovascular diseases and type-II diabetes among many other illnesses.

Nutrition is just part of developing and maintaining good health. Good health can is  defined as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being: a healthy mind, body, and spirit. One of the best resources and focuses on eating right. Eating right is easy to say, however, it can be very difficult because of all of the choices we must make when it come to food and lifestyle.

Course 4 - Healthy Eating Tips

Would you be interested in an online plant-based course which would focus on individuals who want to transition to a plant-based lifestyle to help them achieve optimal health by learning healthy eating tips and how to implement these tips into a plant-based lifestyle?

You love your kids. You want the best for them. One of the most basic and important things you do for your children is feeding them. The food they eat is the only thing their bodies have to build upon, to keep them fueled and to use to think and grow.

When you think of it that way it’s a clear choice to give them the healthiest diet possible, so if you have a picky eater it is important to help your kids eat healthier?
